La hermana Sesilia Michael Sijia nos comunica la triste noticia de que, a consecuencia de las lluvias torrenciales y vientos huracanados de los últimos días, la estructura del techo del hogar I.P. de Kansenia (R.D.Congo) fue arrancado de las vigas de madera que lo sujetaban, dejando todo el interior a la intemperie y a merced de la tormenta. Afortunadamente no ha habido daños personales, pero está mojado y prácticamente inservible. Muchos de los escasos enseres existentes en la vivienda son irrecuperables, incluyendo los colchones comprados en el año 2021 gracias a varias campañas organizadas por PROYSO para solicitar ayudas para el centro. Varias vigas de madera también se resquebrajaron por la fuerza del viento… hay que reforzar la estructura y rehacer todo el tejado, adquirir de nuevo los colchones y habilitar las instalaciones para que puedan volver pronto al centro.
Actualmente los 48 jóvenes se encuentran alojados y repartidos en otras instalaciones de la comunidad, pero están separados y desean, al igual que todos nosotros, volver a su hogar.
La mala fortuna se ceba con los más vulnerables, por ello, volvemos a pediros ayuda para estos jóvenes que luchan por un futuro mejor desde este centro,
